A city with hotels, and a warning on the record
Bowling Green is not a college town with two motels. It is a city of about 75,000 on I-65 with a chain hotel base along Campbell Lane and Wilkinson Trace, two to three miles from the Hill. That is why the one statement on record matters: in 2019, WNKY reported a Hyatt Place sales manager saying “Graduation is a definite sellout.” A city with depth still sold out, at least at that property.
Then WKU leased the Hyatt Place. It is now Center Hall, student housing, per the university’s own housing page. The hotel that spoke for the sell-out no longer takes guests, and older WKU lodging material that still names it is out of date.

A family attending both needs the Wednesday and Thursday nights. A family attending only its college’s recognition ceremony needs the Thursday night.
