The Club & Guest House, UCSB's own on-campus hotel, opens Commencement 2027 bookings January 4, 2027, first-come-first-served with no waitlist once full — or look to Santa Barbara itself, a resort market minutes away.

What’s confirmed

UCSB’s own Chancellor’s Office, in a February 2026 memo, confirmed a faculty/student/staff advisory group is still exploring 2027 Commencement’s format — including a possible single campus-wide ceremony — so a specific 2027 schedule wasn’t published as of this check. The most recently confirmed schedule is 2026’s: Commencement ran June 11-14, 2026, across 11 ceremonies for 6,727 graduates, shown here as the reference.

A strict, first-come booking window

The Club & Guest House, UCSB’s own on-campus hotel, is already taking “Commencement 2027” reservations. Its own reservations page states bookings open “starting Monday, January 4, 2027, at 11:00am” on a “first-come, first-served basis,” with a “2-night minimum stay… required (Friday-Sunday nights),” a 2-room maximum, non-refundable — and directly: “If the website shows no availability, there are no additional rooms. The Club & Guest House will not be hosting a waitlist.”

Where else to look

Downtown Santa Barbara, about 15 minutes away, is a genuine resort city with a deeper hotel base — though at resort-level rates independent of graduation.
