UNI's catalog calendar lists a single "May 15 | Sat., commencement" row, and this page keeps both statements in view: the registrar's detailed page is the one to plan by, and a Social and Behavioral Sciences family should not be caught out by the catalog's compression. Fall 2026 is "10:00am Saturday, December 19". The venue is not restated on the future-dates page; Spring 2026 was in the McLeod Center, per UNI's news, with every ceremony livestreamed.

Three sittings, published to the hour
UNI’s registrar keeps a future ceremony dates page, and for Spring 2027 it reads:
“7:00pm Friday, May 14”, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. “10:00am Saturday, May 15”, College of Education and the Wilson College of Business. “2:00pm Saturday, May 15”, College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences.
14 May 2027 is a Friday, 15 May a Saturday. Date, hour and college, nine months out. Few universities publish this far ahead in this much detail.
The catalog says one day; the registrar says two
UNI’s catalog academic calendar for Spring 2027 carries a single row: “May 15 | Sat., commencement.” It does not mention the Friday evening. The registrar’s page does.
This page keeps both. The catalog compresses; the registrar’s page is the ceremony schedule. A family whose graduate is in Social and Behavioral Sciences and who plans from the catalog would arrive a day late. Plan by the registrar’s page, and expect the November review to confirm the Friday sitting still stands.
The McLeod Center, by pattern
The future-dates page does not name a building. UNI’s news release for Spring 2026 does: “Commencement ceremonies in the McLeod Center,” with nearly 1,500 graduates across three ceremonies and “Each will be available via livestream.” This page treats the McLeod Center as the pattern, not a 2027 statement.
December: one ceremony at 10 a.m.
“Fall 2026 | 10:00am Saturday, December 19.” One sitting, a Saturday, the week before Christmas. The Friday night.
