The split is by degree level, which is less common than the college-by-college split most universities on this site use, and it has a practical consequence: a family with a bachelor’s graduate and a master’s graduate in the same year needs both days, and they are not adjacent halves of one afternoon.
Both dates come from Oklahoma State’s own Fall 2026 registrar academic calendar, and both weekdays were checked.

OSU’s commencement site, a different site from the registrar pages, now carries the Fall 2026 schedule: all OSU Stillwater ceremonies held at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Gallagher-Iba is on Hall of Fame Avenue, it is the basketball and wrestling arena, and it was also the venue for the spring 2026 ceremonies.
Admission is the other thing the site settles: no tickets are required and there is no restriction on the number of guests. Graduates arrive 30 minutes before their ceremony, and doors on the east side of the arena open for guests one hour before.
Why this page still does not name an arena for May
An earlier version of this page declined to print Gallagher-Iba Arena for any date, because the commencement pages it could find were stale and still carried Spring 2026. That was right at the time, and it is the failure this audit has found on several clusters: a venue read off a page describing an already-held round and attached to a future date.
The December schedule changes that for December only. OSU’s page names the arena against Fall 2026, and the weekdays only fit 2026. For May 2027 no page names a building against a 2027 date, so this page does not print one. Treat Gallagher-Iba as a likely but unpublished venue for May.
A warning about third-party listings for this cluster
Search results for OSU commencement surface event pages that look current and are not.
A Stillwater visitor-bureau page advertises “Oklahoma State University Undergraduate Commencement will be held on Saturday, December 14th”. That page is dated 2024. A campus events listing describes a Fall Graduate College commencement at 4:30 p.m. on Friday December 12 in Gallagher-Iba Arena, which is 2025.
Both sit at stable URLs that do not change year to year, so they will keep looking plausible. December 11 and 12 are the 2026 dates, and the registrar’s calendar is where they come from.
What we checked, and what we could not
The December times, the venue and the guest rules come from Oklahoma State’s own commencement site, read in a real browser on 17 October 2026. All four dates also come from the registrar’s Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 academic calendars. Weekdays verified: 11 December 2026 Friday, 12 December Saturday, 7 May 2027 Friday, 8 May Saturday.
One access note worth recording: okstate.edu pages return 403 to automated clients. That is a block, not an absence, and reading them requires a real browser or a text-extraction proxy. A check that treats the 403 as “no page” will conclude OSU has published nothing.
Unestablished: start times, venue and college split for the two May dates, parking, and any round beyond spring 2027. No summer ceremony exists.
