Louisiana Tech holds ONE Fall 2026 Commencement for all colleges on SATURDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2026 at 9 a.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston. Tickets are not required, guest doors open one hour before the ceremony, and graduates walk with the college of their primary program of study. Two published arrival rules catch families out: there is NO rehearsal, and graduates must arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony, entering through the upper concourse to the right of the main entrance. Decorated caps are not allowed. No Spring 2027 date is published, and this page does not invent one.

One ceremony, one Saturday morning

Louisiana Tech’s Fall 2026 Commencement is Saturday 21 November 2026 at 9 a.m., one ceremony for all colleges, at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston. Graduates walk with the college of their primary program of study.

Until this month the cluster had no future date and showed no booking window. Louisiana Tech has now published the fall round on its graduation page, which is the page every fact here comes from.

The venue is the settled part

The Thomas Assembly Center, 1900 Adams Ave, Ruston. It is named on the graduation page and used across rounds, so the venue was never the open question.

Louisiana Tech’s page also warns that several City of Ruston improvement projects are ongoing and that construction may cause delays. It suggests alternate routes from Interstate 20: from Shreveport-Bossier, exit 83 onto Tarbutton Rd and then LA-150; from Monroe-West Monroe, exit 85 onto Hwy 167 (N Trenton St) and then W Alabama Ave.

What a 9 a.m. start does to your booking

A morning ceremony leaves no slack for a long drive that day. Guest doors open one hour before, so for 9 a.m. that is 8 a.m., and graduates must be in at least 45 minutes early. For a family travelling in from outside the area, that points to Friday night in Ruston, which is our reading of the schedule rather than anything Louisiana Tech states.

Ruston’s own hotel market is small and shared with Grambling State, and the nearest larger city is Monroe, about 30 minutes east. The booking map on this page is anchored on Monroe because Ruston’s own coordinate does not resolve on our mapping tool.

Two arrival rules that catch people out

Both published by Louisiana Tech, and both worth knowing before the day.

There is no rehearsal. Graduates get no run-through, so the arrival instruction is the whole briefing.

Arrive at least 45 minutes early, entering the Thomas Assembly Center through the upper concourse to the right of the main entrance. Decorated caps and mortar boards are not allowed to be worn. There are no storage areas for graduates’ personal items.

Tickets are not required. Families who cannot attend can watch on Louisiana Tech’s Facebook Live stream.

What we checked, and what is still missing

Louisiana Tech’s graduation page was read on 17 October 2026. It carries the Fall 2026 ceremony, the venue, the no-rehearsal rule, the arrival instruction and the guest-door timing quoted above.

Not published, and each a real absence: any Spring 2027 date or time, and any guest limit. This page does not project a spring date from the 2026 pattern.

Frequently asked questions

When is Louisiana Tech's next commencement?

Saturday 21 November 2026 at 9 a.m., one ceremony for all colleges at the Thomas Assembly Center, per Louisiana Tech's graduation page. No Spring 2027 date is published yet; rather than project one, this page says so.

Which night do I book?

Our reading, not the university's: a 9 a.m. Saturday ceremony, with guest doors opening an hour before and graduates arriving 45 minutes early, makes Friday night the sensible booking for anyone travelling in. Ruston's own market is small and shared with Grambling State, and the nearest larger city, Monroe, is about 30 minutes east.

What was the previous ceremony?

Summer 2026 Commencement, Saturday 15 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m., one ceremony for all colleges at the Thomas Assembly Center. The Spring 2026 ceremonies, on Saturday 23 May in two sessions, conferred 1,107 degrees.

Where are ceremonies held?

The Thomas Assembly Center, 1900 Adams Ave in Ruston. That venue is published and stable across rounds. Louisiana Tech's graduation page also warns that several City of Ruston improvement projects are ongoing and advises alternate routes from Interstate 20.

What time should a graduate arrive?

At least 45 minutes before the ceremony, through the upper concourse to the right of the main entrance. Louisiana Tech states there is NO rehearsal, so the arrival instruction is the only run-through anyone gets. Decorated caps are not permitted.

Do guests need tickets?

No. Louisiana Tech states tickets are not required or in use, and that doors to the Thomas Assembly Center open one hour before the ceremony for guests to be seated. Bags must meet the LA Tech Athletics bag policy.

Does Grambling State graduate at the same time?

Grambling State is about six miles away and holds its spring commencement on Friday 7 May 2027. The two are separate institutions with separate ceremonies sharing one small lodging market. See the Grambling State page.
