Vanderbilt's Commencement is confirmed for Friday, May 14, 2027, per the university's own registrar calendar. Vanderbilt's own Families office says plainly: "Hotels closest to the Vanderbilt campus book quickly and are often more expensive than hotels a little farther out of town." The university also offers on-campus guest housing at Murray House, from $111.24/night.

What’s confirmed so far
Vanderbilt’s own 2026-2027 academic calendar lists Friday, May 14, 2027 as Commencement: a real date pulled directly from the registrar’s official calendar, not projected from a prior year’s pattern.
Vanderbilt’s own advice on hotels
Nashville is a major city, not an isolated college town, but Vanderbilt’s own Families office doesn’t dance around the pattern: “Hotels closest to the Vanderbilt campus book quickly and are often more expensive than hotels a little farther out of town.” Their own recommendation is to consider properties within a 15-minute drive rather than compete for the handful of hotels immediately next to campus.
The on-campus option
Vanderbilt runs its own guest housing at Murray House, traditional-style double rooms at $111.24 per night plus taxes, available Wednesday through Friday nights with checkout by Saturday at noon, including a parking pass for one car.
