Idaho State's registrar planning calendar lists "Spring Pocatello Commencement | May 8" and "Winter Commencement | Dec 19", and the ISU academic calendar carries the same 8 May event as "Commencement - Pocatello". 8 May 2027 and 19 December 2026 are both Saturdays. The commencement page schedules December: "Saturday, December 19", "Reed Gym", "10:30am" and "2pm", with the 10:30 a.m. ceremony for the College of Nursing and Rehabilitative Sciences, the L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy and Allied Health and the College of Technology, and the 2 p.m. ceremony for the College of Business, CHESS and the College of Science and Engineering; graduates RSVP by 9 November. The planning calendar also lists "Spring Meridian Commencement | May 10", a Monday, for ISU's Treasure Valley campus near Boise; it is a separate ceremony in a separate city and is not this weekend. The spring time and venue, and any guest ticket rule, were not published at this check. The Days Inn is across the street from campus and the exit-69 chain hotels are five minutes away.

Pocatello is the 8th
ISU’s registrar planning calendar lists “Spring Pocatello Commencement | May 8.” The university’s academic calendar carries the same event as “May 8 | Commencement - Pocatello.” 8 May 2027 is a Saturday, confirmed on two ISU calendars.
Meridian is the 10th, and is not here
The planning calendar’s next line: “Spring Meridian Commencement | May 10.” ISU’s Meridian campus is in the Treasure Valley near Boise, three and a half hours west of Pocatello, and its ceremony is on a Monday. Families of Meridian graduates need Boise-area hotels, not this page. Families of Pocatello graduates should not let the second date confuse the first.
December: Reed Gym, two sittings
ISU’s commencement page: “Commencement”, “Saturday, December 19”, “Reed Gym”, “10:30am” and “2pm”, one line under the other on its banner. The 10:30 a.m. ceremony is for the College of Nursing and Rehabilitative Sciences, the L.S. Skaggs College of Pharmacy and Allied Health and the College of Technology. The 2 p.m. ceremony is for the College of Business, the College of Humanities, Education and Social Science (CHESS) and the College of Science and Engineering. Graduates must RSVP by 9 November. A Saturday, the week before Christmas; the Friday night.
Spring: date only, so far
The 8 May 2027 entry on the planning calendar carries no time and no venue. The research packet for this cluster quoted an ISU statement that Pocatello ceremonies are held in the ICCU Dome; that sentence was not on the live commencement page on 14 September 2026, and this page does not repeat it. Where and when the May ceremony happens is for ISU to state; the November review checks.
Rooms across the street and at exit 69
ISU’s own travel page puts the Days Inn across the street from campus; the Hampton Inn and Fairfield at I-15 exit 69 are five minutes away with 89 and 47 rooms. The where to stay page has them, and the fact that the next real hotel market is an hour up the interstate.
