LSUA graduates on Thursday mornings in a city arena. The ceremony information page states the fall round in full: "Date: Thursday, December 17, 2026", "Time: 9:00 AM", "Location: Laborde Earles Coliseum, 5600 Coliseum Blvd, Alexandria, LA 71303", with no ticket requirement, no limit on guests, and only clear bags allowed under the coliseum's policy. The same page calls the building the Rapides Parish Coliseum; it is one arena, eight miles north of campus. Spring 2027 is a row on the registrar's calendar, "Thursday, May 13 Commencement", on a calendar the registrar says is subject to change, and it was not re-read when this page was built because LSUA's site was refusing connections. This page records the research read of 13 September 2026 and treats spring as provisional: cancellable rooms only. Nearly 800 graduated in Spring 2026, LSUA's largest class.

A Thursday morning, stated in full

LSUA’s ceremony information page gives the fall round with nothing missing. “Date: Thursday, December 17, 2026.” “Time: 9:00 AM.” “Location: Laborde Earles Coliseum, 5600 Coliseum Blvd, Alexandria, LA 71303.”

17 December 2026 is a Thursday. LSUA graduates on Thursdays; Spring 2026 was Thursday 14 May. A 9 a.m. weekday ceremony means arriving the night before and taking the day off.

The rules are on the same page. “There will be no restrictions on the number of attending guests and tickets are not required.” “Only clear bags will be allowed due to the Rapides Parish Coliseum’s Clear Bag Policy.” Police officers are present, accessible parking around the coliseum is first come, and the ceremony is indoors.

One arena, two names

The page names the venue Laborde Earles Coliseum in its location line and Rapides Parish Coliseum in its bag-policy line. They are the same building at 5600 Coliseum Boulevard, in Alexandria, eight miles north of the LSUA campus. A family searching for one name and finding the other has not found a second venue.

Spring 2027, recorded with its caveats

The registrar’s Spring 2027 on-campus academic calendar carries “Thursday, May 13 Commencement”. 13 May 2027 is a Thursday, consistent with the pattern.

Two caveats, both stated here rather than hidden. The registrar says its calendars are subject to change. And when this page was built on 14 September 2026, LSUA’s website was refusing connections from two independent networks, so the calendar was not re-read; the date rests on the research pass of 13 September. The cluster’s review is set to re-read it first.

For lodging, cancellable rates only for spring until the commencement office publishes the round.

The class

Nearly 800 graduates in Spring 2026, LSUA’s largest class ever, per LSUA Athletics. Alexandria is a regional city with more rooms than that needs, and the where to stay page is anchored on the arena rather than the campus for that reason.
