That is Friday and Saturday, weekday cross-checked, and it is all the university has published for the round. Which colleges walk on which day, the start times and the venue are not yet posted, and the tickets page says the same for its subject: "December 2026 and May 2027 ticket information will be posted at a later date." The near round is the weekend of 18-19 December 2026, published the same way. What the 2026 pattern suggests, without promising, is a Friday-Saturday split by college with 10 a.m. sessions at the EECU Center on the Stephenville campus. Plan for both nights until your college's day is announced, and do not copy the current 12-ticket rule from the summer round to either of these.

A weekend, stated in one sentence
Tarleton’s graduation page gives its May round in a single line: “May Commencement Ceremonies are scheduled for the weekend of May 14-15, 2027.”
14 May 2027 is a Friday and 15 May a Saturday. The university’s phrasing, “the weekend of”, matches the dates, which is the check this site runs on every date it publishes and the one that catches a year copied wrong. It passed.
What the sentence does not carry is anything finer: no colleges assigned to days, no start times, no venue. As of 12 September 2026 those are not published, and this page does not fill them in.
What 2026 looked like, offered as pattern only
The Spring 2026 round is on the record in Tarleton’s own news release, and it is the best guide to the shape of a Tarleton commencement without being a promise about 2027.
The ceremonies ran Friday and Saturday, 8 and 9 May 2026, at the EECU Center on the Stephenville campus. Each day opened with a 10 a.m. session, and the colleges were split across the two days. The release named students from Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Bryan and online programmes.
Two things follow. A 10 a.m. start means the night before is the one to secure. And the split by college means a family does not know its day until the schedule posts, which in 2026 happened roughly six weeks out.
Tickets: the number on the page is the wrong round
Tarleton’s tickets page currently shows a 12-ticket allowance. Read the page carefully and it belongs to the Summer 2026 ceremony. The same page states: “December 2026 and May 2027 ticket information will be posted at a later date.”
That sentence is the fact. The number is not. A family that plans for twelve seats in May because the page said twelve in August may find a different figure, and this site would rather say unknown than repeat a rule from a different round.
December first
The near round is the weekend of 18-19 December 2026, published the same way and with the same gaps: colleges, times, venue, tickets. If that is yours, the six-week pattern from 2026 puts the schedule announcement in early November, and the hotel arithmetic on the where to stay page argues for booking before then.
Two nights, held loosely
Until the college schedule posts, the honest plan is Thursday and Friday nights on a refundable rate, dropping one when the day is known. Stephenville’s nearest hotel to campus has 64 rooms and the next town with inventory is forty minutes away, so holding both is cheap insurance and holding neither is the expensive mistake.
