UW Oshkosh's 2026-27 academic calendar lists "Saturday December 19 COMMENCEMENT" and "Saturday May 15 COMMENCEMENT". Both are Saturdays. The commencement homepage gives December's time and place: "Saturday, December 19, 2026 | 10 a.m.", with graduates coming "together in Kolf Sports Center". May 2027's times are not yet posted; the ceremony-details page still described Spring 2026 at this check, "Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 9 a.m. & 2 p.m.", Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave, with Nursing, Health Professions and STEM in the morning and Business, Arts and Communication in the afternoon. Same page: "All graduates are allowed up to eight guests and will receive an email from our ticketing partner, Eventbrite"; "Doors will open two hours prior to ceremony start time"; the ceremony is livestreamed. Two Saturdays on the calendar
UW Oshkosh’s 2026-27 academic calendar has two rows that matter: “Saturday December 19 COMMENCEMENT” and “Saturday May 15 COMMENCEMENT”, each preceded by the Friday “Official Graduation Date”. 19 December 2026 and 15 May 2027 are both Saturdays.
The commencement homepage fills in December: “Saturday, December 19, 2026 | 10 a.m.”, and “On December 19, graduates, along with their families and friends, will come together in Kolf Sports Center”. One ceremony, one time.
May’s shape, from the year before
May 2027’s times are not published yet. The ceremony-details page, still describing Spring 2026 when read on 20 September 2026, gives the pattern: “Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 9 a.m. & 2 p.m.”, both in Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave. The morning ceremony took the College of Nursing, Health Professions and STEM, including the Doctor of Nursing Practice and the science master’s degrees; the afternoon took the College of Business, Arts and Communication, the MBA and the education doctorate. If 2027 keeps that split, the college decides the hour, and the hour decides the night.
Eight guests, by email
“All graduates are allowed up to eight guests and will receive an email from our ticketing partner, Eventbrite, where they can claim and download their tickets. Graduates will not need a ticket to enter.” That is the ceremony-details page’s rule for Spring 2026; this page carries it as the standing rule and the November review checks that it is restated for December and May.
Doors at two hours, and a livestream
“Doors will open two hours prior to ceremony start time.” For December’s 10 a.m. ceremony that is 8 a.m. “The ceremony will also be live streamed for those who are not able to attend and for other family members and friends to watch.” Parking and directions have their own page on the commencement site; this page does not restate lot names it did not read.
One night in a city with a valley behind it
The Friday night covers December’s single ceremony and any May morning ceremony. Downtown Oshkosh has a hotel a mile from Kolf and the Marriott on the river; the Fox Cities are 22 to 30 minutes north. The where to stay page has the three named properties and the ring.
