Bucknell’s 177th Commencement is 16 May 2027, on Malesardi Quadrangle. Bucknell states it plainly on its own commencement page, and the weekday checks out as a Sunday, which is its long-standing pattern.

That is where the published detail stops.

No ceremony time. No rain plan, which matters because Malesardi Quadrangle is outdoors and mid-May in central Pennsylvania is not reliably dry. No guest-ticket policy. No parking guidance.

Bucknell points enquiries to a Commencement Hotline on 570-577-1192 and to commencement@bucknell.edu, rather than to a page that answers them. If your party is large or someone has access needs, that call is worth making early rather than late.

This page will not fill those gaps with what other universities do. An outdoor quadrangle ceremony usually means open seating, and that is an expectation rather than a Bucknell fact.

What you can act on now

The lodging position is unusually clear-cut, and it is the reason to move early even without a ceremony time.

Lewisburg has one bookable property. Danville, about fifteen minutes east, has seven. Bloomsburg has four at twenty-five minutes, Williamsport twelve at forty-five, State College twenty-three at seventy-five.

Absent rather than estimated

Not published at the time of writing: the ceremony start time, the rain or severe-weather plan, guest tickets or seating arrangements, parking, accessibility provision, and whether the ceremony is livestreamed.

Bucknell does publish a commencement schedule covering the surrounding days, including a Graduates Grill reception at the Elaine Langone Center, but 2027 times were not out and none is reproduced here.
