WT's 2026-2027 academic calendar (list view, last updated 8 June 2026) lists May 2027 as "14 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)", "Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)", "15 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)", "Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)", and December 2026 as "11 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)", "12 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)", "12 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)". 14 May 2027 is a Friday and 15 May a Saturday; 11 December 2026 is a Friday and 12 December a Saturday. The graduation page still showed Spring 2026 at this check, "First United Bank Center | Canyon, Texas", with Agriculture and Engineering at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Fine Arts and Nursing at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Education and Social Sciences at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and Business at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. "Are tickets required for the commencement ceremony? No." "Doors will open an hour before the ceremony. Seating is open and is on a first-come, first-served basis." Read on 20 September 2026.

The calendar has the slots, not the colleges

WT’s 2026-2027 academic calendar, in the catalog’s list view and last updated 8 June 2026, gives May 2027 four rows: “14 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)”, “Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)”, “15 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)”, “Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)”. 14 May 2027 is a Friday, 15 May a Saturday. December 2026 gets three: “11 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)”, “12 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (10 am)”, “12 Graduation - Colleges [to be determined] (2 pm)”. A Friday and a Saturday again. In each row the calendar prints its three-letter abbreviation for “to be determined”; this page spells it out in brackets.

So the dates and hours are fixed and the only unknown is the one that decides a family’s night: which college walks in which slot.

What last May looked like

The graduation page still described Spring 2026 when read on 20 September 2026, under the heading “First United Bank Center | Canyon, Texas”:

Friday, May 15, 10:00 a.m.: Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences; College of Engineering. 2:00 p.m.: Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities; College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Saturday, May 16, 10:00 a.m.: Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences. 2:00 p.m.: Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business.

Each slot was livestreamed. That is the pattern; the 2027 assignment replaces it when WT posts it, and the November review captures December’s.

No tickets, open seating, an hour early

“Are tickets required for the commencement ceremony? No.” “Doors will open an hour before the ceremony. Seating is open and is on a first-come, first-served basis. After the ceremony, guest will meet their graduates outside the building.” Handicapped seating is first come as well, and “Sign language interpreters will be available at each ceremony.” Graduates arrive an hour before to check in with their college. “Each ceremony is approximately no more than 2 hours.”

Parking at the arena, and one road to avoid

“Parking will be available at the First United Bank Center, please park in designated parking spots. Overflow parking will be behind the Agricultural Sciences Complex and the Virgil Henson Activities Center.” The page asks guests not to park along Russell Long Blvd. Handicapped parking is at the arena. Note for the reader who has the 2026 page in front of them: its line about the AgriLife Research and Extension Center lot applied to a specific Friday in 2026, not a standing rule.

Where the arena is, and where it is not stated

The graduation page names the venue and links a campus map; the arena’s own page returned 404 on 20 September 2026, so this site gives no street address. The Holiday Inn Express, Best Western and Hampton on 4th Avenue are within half a mile of it, which is how most families will find it.

Two nights until the assignment posts

Thursday and Friday in Canyon cover any May outcome; Amarillo, 24 minutes north, covers any outcome without booking in Canyon at all. The where to stay page has the three 4th Avenue hotels, 206 rooms between them, and the ring.
